Most of the companies announced a work from home (WFH) policy to their employees except some sectors. Following steps will help you do marketing of your business or increase sales of your products online or through digital marketing.
Step-1: Learn each component of digital marketing mentioned above, it’s importance and benefits. Nowadays, there is a lot of free information available on search engines like Google or MSN. Browse YouTube and you’ll find many digital marketing tutorial videos on the platform.
Step-2: Decide your business goal or objectives you want to achieve. For example, increase brand awareness, maintain brand image, product information, reach more people or sell more products or services, etc.
Step-3: Decide location and budget of your marketing campaign. You may choose to go global, domestic or local based on business size and availability of products or services. For example if you are the owner of a bakery shop in the city, you might need to promote it locally in areas or neighborhoods of the city. If you are an exporter of any product then you need to do international marketing.
You’ll need the budget according to the activities to be done.
Step-4: Match your business goal, location and budget with the component or medium of digital marketing. Like we mentioned in the previous step, if you own a bakery shop doing local business marketing by creating a page on Google My Business or directory listings would help. To promote export business, one will need to have a website, do search engine optimization and Google Ads can work.
Step-5: Implement your strategy at the right time. Digital marketing is not only about doing the right things but also doing them at the right time. You have to understand that when people buy products or search for the products or services, it will be more effective.
Step-6: Do analysis of your online marketing work. There are many analytics tools available like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRUSH, etc. to track the performance of digital marketing campaigns or activities done. Also social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. have their own analytics or insight tools. You can track the visitors details and performance from there and repeat the best performing activities.
